Water Treatment
Are you looking for a remedy to a particular water problem?  Aquadoc Water Systems, based in Drogheda, Co Louth since 1997, has focused on providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction to remove iron/manganese, bacterial contamination and hard water among our various treatments. We will do everything we can to meet your expectations.

New water treatment technologies have made it possible to make the most unsuitable water sources meet the demand for human consumption. In an example from a recent installation we have incorporated a water conditioner containing Katalox-Light in conjunction with a water softener.

The original water analysis indicated iron content as 521 mg/l, manganese as 417 mg/l, and hardness as CaCO3 at 329 mg/l. In addition the water was brown in colour and also contained suspended particles.

Katalox-Light is a revolutionary filtration media for removing contaminants using a unique technology. Different surface coatings enable one filtration media to remove many contaminants. The active coatings oxidise and precipitate soluble iron and manganese in the granular bed and are then removed by backwashing, automatically controlled by the Clack electronic control valve. The water is then filtered and passed to the water softener for additional improvement.
